4th Anniversary

XX and I just spent our last 4th anniversary on 4 June 2013.
 

We survived the date with just a simple dinner out in town, no flowers, sugar honey or gifts. I will probably only receive one and only bouquet of flowers on my proposal day. LOL. HAHA. Not that I am not a fan of them, I would rather to spend the money on food/clothes. HAHAHAHA. I am still adamant in making my own pearl/crystal bouquet for my wedding. Heh.

OMGOMGOMG at my shiok maki. That is the best maki you can find in Singapore. I am not kidding or joking. You wont find such impressive-mind-blowing-maki for just $16 elsewhere.




I am contented with my simple dinner date on my anniversary date! (:

Out of random, I did a scrapbooking just before our 4th anniversary.


It seems to me there is nth my XX really needs now. So my wallet is saved and I didn’t get anything. The present shall be put on hold, until I figured what is essential. HAHAHAHA. As for him, there are too many things I want cause I am so greedy. He shall get me my first chanel earrings as a gift instead. I am such a spendthrift. Oops. Not a #goodwifepotential.

How time flies. It really did seem not too long ago we just got together. No, this is not because XX has been as sweet as honey. If anything, both of us exist in a relationship where there are no sugar coated message sent every day. LOL. We are just a boring, simple couple. No, there are no excitement or fireworks. We are in a bo chap, elderly stage. (Sometimes I find it a blessing – work is too stressful and tiring. A simple relationship is good. Sometimes I find it a joke - We are too young to fast forward that fast. 4 yrs and we are like bored, as if 40 yrs into the relationship alr.


XX rarely say sth or anything, diabetically sweet. Rare. Not that I am not fond of them, XX is just not expressive through words. He is someone who expresses his concerns and love via actions. Since I don’t do that myself, it is not fair to ask my partner to do the opposite. My XX nv called me honey/baby/sweetie – I will probably get goose bumps. LOL. “XX” is our way of expressing love. HAHAHA.


My mama always, always tell me to count my blessings to able to meet him.

1. He is thrifty. I am a crazy-spend-thrift-shopaholic. Le sigh. I know, i am trying my best to cut my spendings alr.

2. Truth is, graduation is possible only with his help. I am not hiding it. I probably have difficulty graduating or diagnosed with depression during my 3 year course.


BUTBUTBUTBUT. I am not that bad right? I can cook, I can do scrapbooking, I can do housework, I can do alot of things including eating and sleeping. HAHA. Nvm, #goodwifepotential on the go! I actually think I am very rare species to date leh. LOL.

4 yrs = 1460 days. Truth is, I considered that an achievement. It is not easy for 2 parties who know absolutely nothing about relationship and start to get used to a life where everything comes in a pair.


XX had 22 yrs of singlehood. After 20 yrs of XX eng’s singlehood, I have to get used to reporting my life to my partner where I hope he is to be my life partner. Not easy. We have come a long way. Everything is new to us. It seems to be me that everything is a challenge.


None of us have previous relationships to make a comparison - No, I actually think that is a good thing. Making comparison makes your life miserable cause its human nature to make a difference between the former and latter. We cant ensure if the former or latter will turn out to be a total nightmare. There are no guarantees in life. What if? Life is too short to have so many what ifs.


As a woman, life's biggest decision lies with finding your Mr right, have you found yours yet? I choose to think there is no turning back if you choose wrong. Youth wasted. Time wasted. Feeling wasted. We should all learn to accept what is suitable for us. To choose correctly. Afterall, lifetime is more than just 4 years.

Certainly, XX is not the best man on earth as a life partner. But he is good enough to be XX's eng exclusive man though. HAHAHA. Thanks for sharing all your first with me. I cherish all the first we do tgt. Our first kiss, hug, date, overseas, etc etc. The first of many to come.

Thanks for accepting who I am. I wont forgive you or myself to be someone I am not. (:

fridays are chill out days. but, this is last friday. HAHAHA. (shit, i am forever slow in blogging.)

friday used to be XX days, cause i don get to meet my XX often prior to his FYP days.
and weekends are meant for me to slp and nua at work while he study. 
 
so, we only go out on fridays.
now, its officially chill out days with friends.
its funny how working adults cherish fridays. i was nv like that. well, weekends doesnt make a difference for students. you still need to do lab reports/study/read lecture notes on weekends!!

but, a full time working adult get to rest their brain on weekends!!! say no to work.

now, friday is god sent.
scream HOORAY!

FRIDAY = forever happy. cant wait for knock off and enjoy the weekend!

my stomach is tuned; auto hungry when i knock off from work.

ordering in process. whenever we go out, i hardly touch the menu.
my XX will order what he thinks i like. he only order what i like anyway. HAHAHA.

and then our of the 2 dishes he ordered, he will decide which one i would prefer more, then change w me.
HAHAHAHA. i am such a bully.

but hey!!! HE OFFERED OKAY. ^^
i nv bully him. XD

and all 4 dishes are utter disappointment.


hmm, my crab meat linguine still taste as good. but the portion is down sized.
and prawn and scallop pasta isnt exactly to my liking. the prawn fishy taste is kind of overwhelming.
the avocado salad has shrink in size drastically.
and salmon egg brunch just arent to any of our liking. like !!!! whats with the grape/rasin alike bread? it just taste ewwwww with the egg! no wonder the girl sitting next to us cant finish it.


ALL FAIL.
we left the place not satisfied at all. we wont return here for a long time alr.

tsk. condemn for now. 

since we are not full at all.
the next logical thing to do is to find food to fill our stomachs to the brim.

and the night ended with ice cream at cold stone.

truth is, XX know i don like ice cream from cold stone. i am alr prepared to sit there and nua and stare into space.
most of their ice cream are filled with chocolate/sugar, sugar and sugar. all too sweet for my liking. like, EWWW.

until XX found out that the berry combi is more sour than sweet. and tadah!! ice cream to end the night.


i even met yingtian and ann that night! what a coincidence!

if only every friday is like this!!! it should be renamed; To Get I Fat.

Good friday entry. hooray!! its was just a 4 day week!!! woohoo!!
Although i don hate my job at all, a day off is still very much appreciated from all the stress.
Numbers, stay always from me. 

heh. a long weekend; i rested enough. and did a lot of exercise too!! heh. (a nature hike on Saturday. at least a 4km run on Sunday. Bikram Yoga on Monday.) I am so healthy living lately. But, i ended up with tired bones everywhere. LOL.

hooray!! all towards the SHAPE run with Meiho, Yingtian and emmy in july! Suppose i can hit the timing i want, It shall be the best present for myself this yr. (:

There isn't any blazer that suits him; he has got absolutely no chest. So there is no "meat" to fill up the holes.
 
Empty spaces are no no. I saw one skinny blazer that i like at TOPMAN, but it cost $239. (guess what, he took the smallest size and fit nicely.)

WAH. I have got expensive taste. HAHAHA.

but hor, i look up down left right, he didnt look that thin leh. LOL!!! must be too flat. HAHAHAHA.

this is a cool restaurant. for the first time, i am eating ramen with white sesame seed that i grind.
it taste exceptionally good. cause i added in effort for the soup. HAHAHAH.


i don really like this miso soup base. cause there are presence of naturally fermented alcohol. and i got so sensitive to alcohol now, the slight presence of it, irks me. HAHAHA.

i have really turned into a new leaf!!! that being said, my colleagues jio me for a drinking session next friday.
they joked, "veron is gg to order, coke on the rocks!!!!"

me: " whats that. coke + alcohol?"
wk:" no, since there is vodka + ice. so, coke on the rocks is coke + ice"

the ramen is not bad actually!!!!



mini burgers!!! but the ramen are nicer! order those!! HAHA. skip this. XD

we thought the egg was so nice, we ordered another 2 more!! -cholesterol reach a time high-


ordered 2 plates of prawns gyoza cause it was on promotion.
cost $3 a plate for every bowl of ramen ordered.
and it taste surprisingly good!!! -slurps-

the original price is $6 a plate.

head over to Island Creamery for desserts while waiting for Melanie! their mud pie is oh-so-nice.

and we decided to add even more calories by gg to the daily scoop for ice cream!!
cause the variety of take home park ice cream at island creamery were pathetic.


the waffle is just as good as the salted caramel at thomson!! OMG!!! so naise plssssssss.
although i think the waffle at salted caramel fares better. but this is very niceeeee alr!!!

OMG!!! fellow NUS classmates!!! go daily scoop for some sugar fix to refresh your brain!!!

there is a theory to how i placed the ice cream.
we ordered, lychee martini/earl grey and hazelnut chocolate.

lychee martini and earl grey were in the bowl.
hazelnut chocolate with the waffle.

have you wondered why? cause lychee martini and earl grey were considered relatively mild in taste.
suppose if i add chocolate and earl grey tgt, i think the chocolate will overwhelm all the tea taste alr!!!
hence the arrangement!!! ok, i can think this far in 5 seconds. i am amazed by my pea brain.

lychee martini has got no alcohol taste at all.
earl grey didnt have a strong tea taste as expected.

but overall, still good ice cream to indulge!!


and XX got crazy that night. must be too much sugary food.

to end off the night! timer shot hardly work. always out of focus. LOL!!
 

judging from how much i eat, no wonder i cant lose weight at all!! XD XD XD

ok!! here is a mini update of last week dinner!!

Dinner at Paradise Dynasty, found at ION orchard.
its my current favourite restaurant cause it serves cheap and good food. HAHAHA.

and the location is so centralised.

decided to order 2 servings for XLB of 10 each.
cause 10 xlb is seriously not enough to fill our stomach. LOL.

it still taste that good after my last visit here..
(putting ALOT of vinegar and ginger into my XLB. i really love vinegar and ginger!!)

la mian that is accompanied with special marinated fried chicken.

and this fried chicken came hot. a pleasant surprise that its not served cold. HAHAHA.

i prefer their version of la mian!! its not as salty/rich as tampopo and not as expensive. i like this. HAHA.

left the restaurant with a v v full and satisfying stomach!

i really really love this photo. i thought the lighting were right. the smiles were vibrant, nobody is cropped off.

but sadly, XX and i were not in the focus. else this is a perfect photo to keep.

i think the ION orchard lighting very nice to take photo leh.


and no, they are not a couple. r/s too good to be couples. but the day they become a couple shall be my happiest day. LOL.

i hate peanut butter. it has got this rich, sweet and fattening taste that i don like.
its XX's favourite though! i hate peanut butter.
i always think this is worse than sugar. HAHAHA.

ok, this is acceptable. but, i still find this too sweet for my liking. HAHAHAHA. :X

i love ice cream, but i like ice cream that are less sweet/creamy.
eg, sorbet, green tea, black sesame. the rest, are just, eat for the sake of eating.
