Scrapbooking update

I am slowly working on my 8"X8" album.  Currently,i have 4 layouts. i can fit a maximum of 18 layouts in it. Many many more to go!

I intend to put on my wedding entrance table. HAHAHA.

Well, i actually have quite a bit of stuff to put on my wedding entrance table. I haven even include albums i wanna make using the Teresa Collins #savethedate collection! HAHAHAHA. I need a largeeeeeeeeee table.

Anyway, I really love the photos during our photo shoot 2 years ago to celebrate XX's commencement. Graduating is one of our happiest moment in life.

I told XX i wanna have a photoshoot in 2015 to celebrate our one year proposal anniversary. ROFL.

We cant turn back time and we look different from year to year. I value photos alot. (:
This is one of the reasons why i enjoy scrapbooking a lot.
I like to see how i have improved in my scrapping. And most importantly, how i have changed over the years.

I have alot of scrapbooking related stuff.
But Maggie Holmes open book collection is my favourite.

Love the flowers. Love the vellum papers.
Oh, i used gesso to create the white texture in the background. Adds more depth to my layout! (:


Crate paper #kisskiss collection is awesome too! Paper and chipboard from kiss kiss valentine's day collection.

The chipboards were from Maggie Holmes's #openbook! I went to look for squares/rectangle in my stash to create my layout! You can probably recreate this in 20 mins.

YAY.

Anyway, i love this layout because, i crazily squeeze 4 photos into a 4r size photo.
The photos turned out to be too small to be used alone.

Kind of happy to be able to use all 4 tgt! (:

I found this v easy photo editing filter tool on the web that is free and easy to use. Best of the deal, it creates really nice effects/filters just like Instagram.

You will be able to print them out in quality images cause your photos are clear in the first place. No difficult or chimiology photoshop needed.

Anyway, these photos were a gift to my XX to celebrate his quarter century old birthday.
Treat them as a casual couple shoot and a couple graduation shoot. Although I alr have one graduation shoot done with friends by Avenue 8. But a shoot solely for the both of us doesnt feel the same. LOL.

Besides, this is a meaningful present. (:

In case some of you are wondering, this is not a pre-marriage shoot. LOL. I am not getting married yet. At least, not in another 2 yrs. But these photos serves as a good slideshow for the wedding. (:

In case anyone needs to know, a photoshoot charges by hourly basis. The more themes you wanna shoot or to cover different places for your shoot will require more time and hence more expensive. I changed 3 outfits, went to 2 locations (where there are alot of diff scenery and view to shoot w) and the shoot took 3 hours. (:

They took alot of couple shoots before, so rest assured that they will tell you how to pose and take photos to ensure there is no awkward moment with you other half.

as chemist, lab coat doesnt leave us.

there are 10 ppl here.
5 of them is in MOE. (!!!!!)
1 on the way working towards being a prof.
1 of them work in a lab.
3 doing non related.

i guess lab coat still plays an impt role in our lives.

come to think abt it, i have no idea how i managed to survive wearing 5" heels doing jumping shots, walk around, run and having funny poses in the 3 hours. LOL.

i am so relieved that my heels didnt give way. HAHAHA.

GRADUATION.

we finally earned the right to don this blue gown!

i have the right last yr, but most of my friends went for honours, so they only have the right this yr.

nvm abt that, what is important is that i alr graduated from NUS and there is no looking back!

i am just more than happy to graduate!!

these photos serve as a bitter sweet journey that we finally completed our hellish university days.

its time to look forward to the next stage in our lives, enjoy and take up family responsibilities by providing for our parents.

i am happy, just to leave NUS for good.

so happy to graduate alr! NO MORE LAB REPORTS.

wake up in the wee hours of morning.
board the 550 am train just to ensure i reach Gardens by the bay at 645 am. took abt 15 mins for us to wear the gown and prepare ourselves for the shoot.

there is a reason why we need to wake up so early.
to avoid the morning crowd so there wont be so many ppl in your photos.
and to avoid the harsh morning sun.

i forget to mention, thank god we were there early.
by 10am, we were almost all suffering from heat stroke. LOL.

i am not kidding. the gown traps heat. OH GOD.

a 3 hours shoot by Douglas fun from Avenue 8. (no, i am not kidding. his name is called Douglas fun. but, he is really a fun guy. HAHAHAH.)

not cheap to engage their service though! but we got it at a friendly price cause my friend did a family shoot with him before.

supposed to be 2 hours for $700.
but our grp is so big, we stretched to 3 hours for just $750.
and er, i was told there are no much editing of photos. all natural. be it the lightings, blah blah.

they do wedding shoots too. but for the price they charge, pls go lightedpixels instead. HAHAHA.

worth it. HAHAHA.

i just realised, there are 10 of us that morning. and 8 of us went for the 3 weeks CHIP back in 2009.
those were the fun days. 3 weeks of absolute fun in china/hongkong.

best well spent $1100. HAHAHA.
