i went to remove all the stitches left in my mouth last Thursday. gosh, i swear my mouth/teeth is more painful after the doctor removed the stitches for me.
its like an open wound now. as my tongue move to touch and feel the wound, its like a mash nua spongy meat. HAHAHAHAHA. damn disgusting. EWWWWW.
so, one week ltr, i am doing good. feeling occasionally, the slight numb in my teeth when i eat.
anyway. i did my wisdom teeth extraction at TTSH.
its called the pearl. very atas, very nicely renovated.
and very very cheap. i am kind of sure, you wont find this price any where else.
and no, its not done by a newbie doctor. (in case you are wondering its cheap because i did my operation in a govt hospital)
my wisdom teeth operation is being performed by a specialist.
my teeth is in good hands. LOL.
trust me.
after getting the referral letter from the polyclinic,(a must to get the referral letter to enjoy the subsidy)
simple, just tell the doctor you have wisdom teeth, you need a referral letter. the doctor will say, "OK! you will head to the referral office next to have your appointment arranged."
Once you reach the referral office, the nurse will ask you where you wanna have your operation done, just say TTSH, they will arrange a appointment date for you to go. cost abt $10.20 for the letter. worth it though! i got my letter in 30 mins.
Overall, the wait from the first appointment to operation is abt 2 mths. (i delayed my operation though! cause June holidays very hard to take leave. LOL)
EXPENSES:
i only paid the X-ray and the first consultation fees in cash - abt $70 (as a private patient)
the operation and medications are being paid using medisave - abt $900, full claimable. (as a subsidized patient, only with the referral letter.)
even if you didnt have a referral letter,you probably can claim the operation fully by medisave.just much more ex.
my colleagues went to check the price with private clinics.
only the upper widsom teeth can be paid using medisave, the below one need to be paid using cash. and each will cost at least $500. LOL??? :O
and hence, i highly recommended you to go extract your wisdom teeth at TTSH.
i am healing so fast and well, everyone is amazed. the specialist is too zhai alr.
my colleague bro did his at SGH, and ended up with swollen face and mouth for many days. LOL.
even i am amazed with myself. i took rice the following day. and my fav usual food, as if the operation nv take place. and hence, everyone lose weight.only i didnt. T.T (i am actually kind of sad over this. LOL. WHY. maybe i should just myself i am experiencing pain, i cannot eat so much. )
cause i am healing so well. my appetite is back the following day. i wasnt even forced to go on a diet. :O
so, i went back to eat lor.
the doctor asked if i wanted local or general anesthesia,
so general anesthesia is good. i wont feel pain, when they removed all wisdom. (what a pun. HAHAHAH.) i wont go for local anesthesia, cause i reckoned thats insane, it will be super painful and worse than hell.SAY SUPER OUCH.
i went ahead with general anesthesia and the doctor wanted me extract everything altogether.
well, i wont want to experience pain TWICE. and not removing them altogether means i will need to spend money to remove them again.
so, i extract all my 4 wisdom teeth at one go. cause i decided that pain should just be once and for all.
everyone thought i was crazy. i am so brave!!! i am proud of myself to conquer all these. ^^
and yes indeed, its kind of crazy. cause i have got big teeth. i reckoned to take out such a big teeth, the hole should be very big.
(i soaked my teeth in listerine to prevent it from growing bacteria. LOL.)
my teeth are so big right! and no, my teeth haven start to decay yet. i scared it will, hence i got them removed ASAP. i can sense them removing.
Xray shows that one of them is alr blocking my other teeth. ( i die die also need to remove this. else my other teeth will be affected as well)
wisdom teeth have the potential to trap food, cause its so hard to brush them, there were out of reach. that will make your other healthy teeth very susceptible to decay/rot. once your healthy teeth starts to decay, ALL HELL BREAK LOOSE.
thats what happen to my bro. his wisdom teeth decayed and gosh, he told me he experienced hell. even anesthesia didnt work anymore. cause he alr felt the pain prior to anesthesia.
my aunt told me anesthesia only works when you don feel the pain. thats why they didnt work for my bro.
i have got weak teeth thanks to grinding of teeth every night. (i swear my mouth guard helps a lot in protecting my teeth now.) so i am very scared of anything happening to my precious teeth. LOL. so i went to remove them ASAP. i know i need to remove this anyway!)
OPERATION:
gg hungry for 12 hours. (no food/drink after 12am. my operation is at 2pm. you cannot understand how hungry i am, how desperate i am for food and drink. how tempted i am to not open the fridge for my daily glass my milk. i feel like dying, even before the operation. i am so thirsty and hungry. T.T)
the last thing on my mind is diet. T.T

i saw the familiar clear alley.
i saw the familiar white walls.
i hear the familiar sounds of wheels rolling.
i saw the familiar green robes.
i saw the familiar big operation bright lights staring at me.
i feel like crying. i feel pain. but there is no mama beside me this time round. there is no strawberry oxygen.
this is scary.
i waited outside the holding room and closed my eyes. my turn is next.
my last operation was 14 yrs ago.
when i broke my elbow, thanks to a stupid soccer ball. (i hated soccer or anything ball ever since)
daddy spend at least $4000 just to get my elbow fixed. he always joked i am so expensive.
mama and daddy thought i didnt understand what they were saying when they converse in dialect.
they didnt know, i understand every single word they were saying. i need to stay in a hospital. and i need a operation.
they were scared. so do i.
they lied to me, telling me i will be fine. i can go home. and i just have to sleep. and the pain will go away.
and i act blur. HAHAHAHAHA.
i will nv forget how i got push into the operation room when my elbow is broken. i need operation asap the next day. and i crazily stopped the doctors from giving me pain killers injections cause i said, NO TO INJECTIONS.
i was 9 yrs old then. the pain was unbearable. cause my bone is broken.
and i had such strong principles and insisted that no injections should be given to me, i suffered even more pain. daddy joked to the doctors to knock me with sth so that they can give me the injections. HAHAHA.
i thought i was stupid not to take the injection. LOL.
and then i rmb the mini robots i used to follow. i used to run around the alley following the robots. i thought it was cute. it moves on its own, knowing there to head for its next destination.

doctor: " veron, breathe. this is just oxygen."
1 min ltr,they injected anesthesia through the needle on my upper hand.
i wanted to open my mouth and scold the doctor asking him what on earth did he give me, cause my arms had million of ants crawling walking their way towards my heart.
i wanted to scream, scold and blast. but before i can do that, my mind went blank and eyes closed. and i wasnt even in la la land, cause i am not floating anywhere. it was a clear void blank scene.
but, when the operation finally ended, (i didnt even know they did anything, cause time seems to fly and the next time i open my eyes, the operation is done)
they wake me up, dissolve panadol and ask me to drink and asked if i know how am i, where i was.
i only know, i cant talk well. my mouth is swollen. OMG. what have they done to me.
slept for the next 2 hours.
they asked me to gargle cold ice water and the pain is so intense i cried. T.T
that was hell and unbearable. T.T
you have blood mixed with saliva. thats disgusting.
you see your saliva mixed with blood and water, its almost molten state instead of liquid state.. EWW.
the insides of my mouth seems to have bubbles at the 4 sides.
food is the last thing on my mind.
even though, the last food intake was 18 hours ago. i am really very hungry. but, food is not in my mind
i don want food. i want my bed.
but mama insisted that i need porridge so that i can eat medicine.
so we bought porridge and we went home. (i am still clear headed to take a train home.)
another 2 hours ltr, the bubbles were gone. WEEE!
i took 8 mouthful of porridge and i went to bed. (i have taken pain killer the first thing i reach home, and by the time i sleep, things were ok)
the next morning i wake up, gargle the mouth wash they gave and there were only a little blood
i didnt feel pain, thanks to the strong pain killer.
i feel like a normal person. and so, i went out.
i went out with XX to get this graduation gown at NUS. (i still got mood to go out leh!!!)
and dinner was rice, cause i am so hungry. (i didnt feel pain, i was just hungry, VERY HUNGRY)
thats my favourite junior. (:
by Saturday, i totally recovered. by night time, its as if i didnt have any operation at all.

say hi to many days of hospitalization leave feeling like a strong-normal-healthy person, and nuaing at home! LOL.
the only pain i felt - at the hospital.
the rest was bearable, wont die kind of pain.
and my threshold for pain is very low. LOL.
as such, i strongly recommend you guys to extract your wisdom teeth at TTSH.
don wait alr. wisdom teeth don play play.
once they rot and decay, life is worse than hell.

and i am kind of sad the rope is so chui. its my first time wearing, and i don think it will last me long. LOL. but, its a very nice belt! SO SO SO PRETTY CAN. now i know why TVD and MGG loves to pair this belt with their outfits so much.

brunch at strictly pancakes!
i nv tried savoury pancakes before. well, pancakes are usually meant to be eaten sweet.
but i nv like sweet stuff, so i always order savory crepes. HAHAHAHAHA. (i don like cream or the chocolate or the strawberries fudge. which is why, i don really like cream/milk based ice cream. HAHAHA sorbet ice cream is still the best.)
Garlic buttered prawns. (simple, i love prawns!!!)
Verdict: pancakes are best eaten sweet - with maple syrup!
HAHAHA. this taste quite abnormal.
prawns + pancake = hard to imagine them tgt.
XX had sweet pancakes. its sinful and pimple prone. HAHAHAHAHA. not that he will get any pimples from eating this anyway! he hardly get 1 pimple. T.T

well, 3 pancake is kind of, too much.
i have so much pancakes, its scary.
i eat for the sake of eating. over dosed of pancakes. tsk.
2 pancakes, with maple syrup ($5.50) or you can add another side dish for $2.50.
i think that will suffice. not too much nor little.
just nice. ours of 3 pancakes is too much. LOL.
so, i wont return there anymore.
honestly, its not worth the price? HAHA.
i rather have a bowl of ramen in front of me, paying for the same price. XD
