Crowne Plaza 4 June 2016.

We decided on the venue! Yay.

Tried to fit into my theme of pink and gold.

How to do this?

  1. On a blank pc of paper, ink your stamp with embossing ink (Versamark).
  2. Pour embossing power over the inked image.
  3. Use a heat tool and melt the embossing powder.
  4. Use watercolour and create your own background.

Material used:
  • "Save the Date card" from Teresa Collins "Save the date" collection.
  • "Gold glitter words" from Heidi Swapp
  • "Heart with arrow" from My Mind's Eye "Fancy that" ephemera pack.
  • Gold words "Crowne Plaza" words from My Mind's Eye "Fancy that"stickers.
  • Gold word "Hotel" from thickers!

It was a little colour for my liking, so i covered parts of it with my photo. HAHA.
Watercolour is so fun! (:

Stamps from Amy Tangerine, Taobao, Dear Lizzy and Paper Smooches!

Love is not a because, it's a no matter what.

Decided on my wedding gown vendor; Digio.

Shall blog abt this some other day!

How to do this?

  1. Use various stencils and apply gesso on it. I used a brush to apply my gesso here, so that the effects wont be so obvious.
  2. 3 paper dollies to decorate the background.
  3. Layer them with all sorts of pink paper!

What i used:
  • Flowers from Crate Paper "open book" colleciton.
  • Punches from Martha Stewart
  • Gold glitter words "Remember" from Heidi Swapp
  • Matt gold words Digio from Studio Calico"

Project Life January 2015.

January in a nutshell.

Not sure if anyone knows i have started on Project life.

I have done up 6 weeks of 2015. To be honest, it takes alot of determination to continue with this.
But, its also records down your everyday life in detail.

We are busy people. Busy with work/meetings/gatherings/appointments everyday.
There is really no way we can record all these down, except for blogging/ writing a diary/doing project life.

I choose record them down in pictures.

January week 1 to 5.

I have made 3 so far, and i am left with one last one!

Made this mini album based on the photos that me and my bestie have taken tgt.

Enjoy!

The cover is made from a transparency.
The green banners is so appropriate for Christmas!

If you buy Christmas related scrapbooking materials long enough, you would like realised that i used a few collections here! HAHAHAHA.

Scrapbooking update

I am slowly working on my 8"X8" album.  Currently,i have 4 layouts. i can fit a maximum of 18 layouts in it. Many many more to go!

I intend to put on my wedding entrance table. HAHAHA.

Well, i actually have quite a bit of stuff to put on my wedding entrance table. I haven even include albums i wanna make using the Teresa Collins #savethedate collection! HAHAHAHA. I need a largeeeeeeeeee table.

Anyway, I really love the photos during our photo shoot 2 years ago to celebrate XX's commencement. Graduating is one of our happiest moment in life.

I told XX i wanna have a photoshoot in 2015 to celebrate our one year proposal anniversary. ROFL.

We cant turn back time and we look different from year to year. I value photos alot. (:
This is one of the reasons why i enjoy scrapbooking a lot.
I like to see how i have improved in my scrapping. And most importantly, how i have changed over the years.

I have alot of scrapbooking related stuff.
But Maggie Holmes open book collection is my favourite.

Love the flowers. Love the vellum papers.
Oh, i used gesso to create the white texture in the background. Adds more depth to my layout! (:
 photo P1010377_zpsb95268e8.jpg

Crate paper #kisskiss collection is awesome too! Paper and chipboard from kiss kiss valentine's day collection.

The chipboards were from Maggie Holmes's #openbook! I went to look for squares/rectangle in my stash to create my layout! You can probably recreate this in 20 mins.

YAY.

Anyway, i love this layout because, i crazily squeeze 4 photos into a 4r size photo.
The photos turned out to be too small to be used alone.

Kind of happy to be able to use all 4 tgt! (:

Mini album; Maggie Holmes Open Book collection.

hihi!!

Here's sth to share!

Made these goodies the last weekend, meant to be placed on my future wedding reception table.

Paper flowers and vellum words from Maggie Holmes Open Book collection. Its so pretty!
And of course, 3D flowers from Bangkok. I have a crazy collection of flowers that i could start a shop or sth.

I bought the white victorian frame from Diaso Japan. Its only 108 yen, which is about 1.20 SGD in Singapore.

I wanted to buy more, but i chance upon it while walking around. I tried to search for it around the shop, but i couldnt find any more. Oh wells.
 photo P1010134_zps290f96f2.jpg

Not sure how many of you reading this is aware i am engaged. HAHAHA.
My XX popped the question when i was Japan. And i did an album to celebration the occasion.

Oh yes, paper flowers from Maggie Holmes Open book collection as well. I really love her collection so much!

The collection is sold out in Singapore. I am waiting for Mapletreehouse to stock it. Else i will buy from Amazon. I monitor the stocks from Amazon everyday!

Anyway, the flower cut file is from iheartstudio! http://www.iheartstudio.ca/product/floral-bundle-by-fresh-cut-illustrations/

Love all her cut files!
 photo P1010136_zps15395bb3.jpg

Its my favourite album so far. (Nth surprising!)
And its pinkish. To ensure that my mini album can tahan "torture" from my guest flipping my book, i used thick chipboard as my boning pages.

A pc of paper was glued at the side to link the pages tgt. Perhaps i will do a tutorial next time. It didnt have key chain rings at the side and you are still able to flip the pages. HAHA.
 photo P1010140_zpsc8023eee.jpg

Yay. It should be solid and hard enough to withstand the constant flipping of pages. Yes, even the sides are washi-ed pink. HAHAHA.

Scrapbooking: The little things; Wonderful.

Here's a layout i created over the weekend!
I was printing photos for my last mini album on Bali.

Out of random, i decided to make a scrapbook 12x12 layout.
I used to make 12x12 layouts and have alot ALOT of them. I am too lazy to hang up on the wall cause there's so many!

Currently, i like to make mini albums cause they take up less space.

I was inspired by an article i saw at Pinterest.
I really love it and decided to make one myself too!

One of the popular items to use is the Faber-Castell Gelatos to create a gradient background. I dont have gelatos, so i used my distress inks instead.

1. Have the colours of your distress ink choice ready.
2. Take your blender tool.
3. Blend the colours in a straight line.
4. Use a brush, wet it with some water to fill up the "gaps" and blend the colours tgt.
5. It should dry v fast. (i use a heat tool to expedite the process)

I love pink and red. Oh, lots of flowers as well.
HAHAHA.
 photo P1010356_zpsdaedb5f5.jpg

Next, go and dig your scrapbook library for all the frames you can find!

From left to right:
 photo P1010357_zps8e2f874c.jpg

1. I used my cameo silhouette to cut out the Polaroid frame as well as the flower/leave die cuts in the background from iheartstudio.

2. The white and rose pink frames are from taobao.
Search 树脂 饰品 配饰 at taobao.
Pink frame from this seller: Link
(MWL and Papermarket sells them v v ex!)

3. Chipboard frame from "My mind's eye". Jubilee collection

4. I cut out the cork frame using scissors. The flower cut out is from a piece of paper!

My scrapbook is not complete without some form of journaling now, so i added a journal tag below.
 photo P1010358_zpsf9855b40.jpg

I have a tendency to fill up 3/4 of my layout.
So, i added washi tapes below the journal tag to "take up some space". Its shades of pink, of course!
I used my stamps to ink some images on the washi tape to include more details!

Have fun scrapbooking all!

Tasmania #Projectholiday

Consolidating all the layouts i did for my Tasmania #projectholiday is insane, so i shall split the post into different entries!

I have blogged in detail abt my Australia Tasmania trip. You can refer to the tags Sydney/Tasmania at the side bar. I have added a lot of journal tags to my #projectholiday and its rather easy for me to fill in the blanks by referring back to my old posts. HAHA.

I will share my cover page when my scrapbooking eyelets are here!

While I am v slow in updating my #projectholiday, i am currently at my 38th layout and i am finishing it alr!
Call that detail updating my holiday in scrapbooking style. I honestly thought i am very well-controlled.

I skipped printing alot of photos that i like!
 photo P1013903_zpsc4bc0123.jpg

First stop: Sydney!
And we finally saw the Sydney Opera house!
The outline of the Opera house is created via #cameosilhouette
 photo P1013904_zps6239a26f.jpg

Stayed in the area while the sun sets! And yes, that was created via #cameosilhouette as well. photo P1013905_zps61193d20.jpg

I realise the sun set in Sydney is super chio. I realised a lot of ppl posted some very amazing sun sets that they witnessed at the Sydney Habour Bridge. Or maybe its chio everyday.
HAHA.

 photo P1013906_zpsf9d527b6.jpg

Took a transit flight the next day and i used my cameo to create the outlines of Australia and Tasmania!
 photo P1013907_zps6cfe75e4.jpg

Used vellum and added sequins underneath.
 photo P1013908_zpsc5081e5d.jpg

First stop in Cradle Mountain; Dove lake Circuit
 photo P1013910_zps6341aaa8.jpg

Its really one of my favourite places in the world!
 photo P1013909_zpsadaf0bff.jpg

Night falls and we are exhausted. And hungry.I miss that yummy roasted chicken!

p/s: Its not obvious from the picture, but i added my accommodation brochure at the side. I did not complete sew up one of the side and slot in a brochure instead.
 photo P1013911_zps62d3b36f.jpg

Journal tags allow you to add alot more information to your #projectholiday. Or at least, thats how i did mine. Most used them for one layout for the #projectlife. haha.
 photo P1013912_zps28cba75a.jpg

Enchanted walk!
 photo P1013914_zps94096e15.jpg

Cradle Mountain Lookout!
 photo P1013913_zps64baad0a.jpg

And thats yours truly's only layout. HAHA.
 photo P1013915_zpse5cf1ef7.jpg

Till the next scraps update! (:
