The last of Hong Kong 2013.

The last installment of my Hong Kong series.
Takes a while for me to get here!

But, i shall get this over and done with so that i can start on Tasmania series. I better pen them all down before i forget everything. HAHA.

To enjoy Hong Kong life, the easiest way is to head to Mong Kok. Alot of food and shopping to do! All your major brands are found there.
 photo P2247638_zps2da35b1f.jpg

Right after my visit to the old hongkong cafe, head over to Mongkok for shopping! And obviously, i bought alot of nonsense back.
 photo P2247639_zps0677469c.jpg

The best deal of the town comes from Argyle Centre. Their concept is similar to Bugis street.
Alight at Mongkok station, Exit D3 and you will see Argyle Centre (Mongkok Centre). The only pic i took w my buddy with our buddy coat. I sold my cream coat away and nv found the creamy shade again. What replaced with it is a khaki colour. tsk. i shall hunt again.

10% regret. LOL.

Whenever i go Hongkong, i always stop by for herbal jelly. Perhaps its because i never fail to end up with an even more heaty body overseas so i always seek herbal jelly as remedy. LOL. HAHAHA.
Beside Mongkok H&M

Dinner over at Gwen's friend recommendation! Bet you nv tried this before. Its the local Zi char, where tourist dont get to visit unless you wanna risk getting your head chopped off.

There are so many dishes, i commented my CNY reunion dinner also don have so sumptuous lor. Oh Btw, this is on the last day of CNY, the 15th.

So its our CNY dinner anyway. HAHAHA. We got so full, its crazy. LOL. We ended up wasting alot of food, despite so many of us around. I told you this dinner is more kua zhang than the dinner you have at home.

Fish, prawns, crabs, sotong, chicken etc etc. Too full. Too full. Everything burnt from marathon goes to waste. LOL.
 photo food1_zps0ca08ea3.jpg

photo food2_zpsdaea4721.jpg The beer that we tried! This taste better than local beer we have actually. HAHAH. Dont have the sep sep after-taste. LOL.

Company for the night! Check out the surroundings. HAHA.
 photo P2247672_zps55c4c679.jpg

Head off to Lan Kwai Fang to celebrate Val's hens night. Which er, although we met with alot of obstacles in between, but we made it anyway. HAHAHAHA.

Must complete what we set out to do!

 photo P2247675_zps1d94b3f0.jpg

Nope, we didnt do anything crazy. Not that we have the energy after the race, but we are contented with just a simple girls night out. HAHAH. Just talk nonsense and enjoy company!
 photo P2247676_zps1cd2d3a5.jpg

I am such a noob when it comes to alcoholic drinks, i actually did sth incredibly amusing.
My strawberry margarita has a layer of salt at the rim of the glass and i stupidly use the straw and scoop all the salt into the drink.

Only to realise, we are supposed to drink sip by sip with the salt around the rim. And not to dissolve the entire rim of salt into the drink straight away.
lol.. tsk. Things that #veroniscapableof.

After one night of slp, its time for breakfast. To a place i never been to. Its also the place i always go for my egg tarts.
 photo P2257680_zps7bc1bcaf.jpg

The compulsory photo to take at every train station. If you have been to Hongkong, you will understand why. HAHA.
 photo P2257679_zps00533485.jpg

Its just a must thing. You will understand the reason behind it when you visit Hong Kong one day. Unless of course, you have taken them before alr.
 photo P2257678_zpse9b31850.jpg

Sis and i commented that this is future son's outfit. HAHAH.
 photo P2257681_zpsb4bde135.jpg

and this is future daughter outfit. HAHA. Look at the lace and ribbon! My daughter is gg to like lace. I know. I can foresee it.
 photo P2257682_zpsdc763efb.jpg

Went to the shop i always buy my egg tarts. They are cheap and good.
 photo P2257683_zpsc81e074f.jpg

And we cleared 2 batches of egg tarts. which is er, 4 trays of egg tarts for all of us.

 photo P2257689_zpseb587ccf.jpg

Price list and menu. Basically, the menu is more or less the less throughout the day.

 photo P2257696_zps9913d863.jpg

My ridiculously expensive and simple looking yet nice-until-veron-can-die breakfast is in front of me now. Too nice, its illegal. They added a secret ingredient in it; heroin.
 photo P2257698_zps215d1d5c.jpg
Such breakfast consisting of just eggs, macaroni and bread accompanied with a cup for teh c set me back for $5 sgd. I will just wtf all the way for such sellers who wanna have high margin profits when the cost price is so low.

LOL. But, i really really like my breakfast. I fell in love and went straight to heaven. LOL. How can sth simple be so nice.

I am a fan of hot teh c. If you are a fan of teh c, you will understand and appreciate what a good cup of teh c means. I have spend money on really ridiculous teh c in Singapore before and they really makes my blood boil. Its not just abt the money spent, but i have to force myself to drink such atrocious teh c down. LOL. And such, when i come across really good teh c, i really count my blessings and enjoy my rare opportunity of happiness.
photo P2257700_zpsc25d0d2b.jpgIn Hong kong, teh c is a piece of art. Everywhere i go, its nice.
In Singapore, everywhere i go. Its usually awful and painful to drink. Decent ones have to go toast box/ya kun. Those food court and coffee shop teh c are just cheating my money and feelings. LOL.

Sis like her teh c served cold. Equally nice though. But, i don drink cold drinks. Did i say my sugar cane goes without ice too? My colleagues find me amusing. LOL. I only drink warm water outside. Unless its orange juice or milk. HAHAHA.
 photo P2257701_zpsb3a48087.jpg

And oh so sinful egg pudding. Even if you tell me the amt of egg yolks in it, i cant be bothered. My pudding is such a good dessert to have. Oh god. -bounce bounce bounce-

Let me show you what is girls power.

XO dry prawn noodles. In Hong Kong, dry noodles taste better than soup version. LOL. Trust me.
 photo P2257725_zps2d61eaaf.jpg

Starbucks in Hong Kong style

Here is an entry on Veron's cheat blog entry. But then again, this is supposedly to be an pic-try.
A photo-log sounds much easier to update this alr growing dust blog of mine. HAHAH.

For easy reference in future, Click on Hong Kong tab at the tags link at the left hand side.
i shall not paste previous blog spot links anymore!

What is it: Starbucks in Hong Kong style. Only found in Hong kong.

Address: Floor M2, Baskerville House, 13 Duddell St, Central, Hong Kong

I just found out there is another old Starbucks at Mongkok! You may want to visit this instead! (:
89-91 Sai Yee Street, 1F-2F Wai Kee House, Mong Kok, Hong Kong.

Cost: $6 dollars SGD for coffee. Btw, Starbucks has standard pricing around the world. HAHA.

Worth to go: Hmm, only if you have the time. Since i went hkg so many times, i am determined to see things i didnt see before. If you are in the vicinity, this Starbucks is worth your camera's memory card. Afterall. its just a place for coffee and tea. Starbucks menu is almost the same everywhere. Its v out of the way.

How to go: I have no idea. I have a GPS bf. Its not that far from the hotel i stay in though!

Went there after a short rest at the hotel. I know if i slp, I will waste the entire afternoon away. I am so shagged after my half marathon. HAHA. This trench coat is so pretty, but i am too short for it. For the price, I might as well sell it and get a cheaper one! HAHA.

I tell you, black coat really v ugly. So boring. LOL. I look at my Tasmania photos and sian cause its so black. LOL.

East-meets-West modernization Starbucks. This starbucks is a replica of the 冰室 (”Bing Sutt”). A direct translation is called Ice Room. HAHA. Its the Hongkong coffeehouse back from 1950’s to 1970’s.Once you step in, you thought you travelled back in time.

Every detail is meticulously attended to, ensure you are in a totally different environment. This is oldies theme. From antique-like fans to tables to chairs to walls to floor tiles to ceiling to old adaptors switches. You just stepped into a time machine and went back to mama's era.

I cant say that its truly nostalgic walk down the memory lane for me. Because, i dont rmb seeing this when i was born. LOL. HAHAHA. If you are middle aged, its probably really a revisit to your old days.

 photo starbucks4_zpsba197ec4.jpg

A glimpse to the past and you soon realised. Technology travels at the speed of light. We no longer see them anymore. Those are past tense. Now its LCD 40" full HD flat television. HAHAHA.

 photo starbucks3_zpsa58582dd.jpg

They even "dirtied" the clock w stains. LOL. ROFL. Putting alot of effort for the details!
