Bali - Day 2 (Ulun Danu Temple - Lake Beratan)

So our journey begins at 830 am at our hotel.
Esa is v punctual. I think he reached at 745 am. LOL.

Sights along the way! Bali has lots of rice fields.
The drive was scenic and i managed to see a lot of the Bali's countryside.

Be appreciative. Be grateful. I am blessed to be able to travel and type this travelogue. Its a luxury to many in Bali. Esa has nv taken a plane before. We need to be thankful for whatever we have today.

Esa told us to visit there early, before the crowd come. (Reviews says its v v crowded!)
Its likely that there will be alot of clouds later in the morning and it may rain.

Well, its located over 1000 metres above sea level. - High rainfall. HAHA.

Anyway, this is a very beautiful temple. Very serene. The surrounding is really cool and refreshing. Oh, the temple grounds are kept v clean!

This is the main temple. It appears to be kind of small and not very impressive. But, good enough! Most temples look like that anyway!

Check out the low clouds behind us!

These are "gates" which you will find them in all the temples.

Fun fact!
Bali is known as an island with thousands of pura/temples. Bali is also known as the island of the gods. So it is not surprising to know that Bali has more temples than houses.

Probably 1 million temples.

I am someone who dislike crowds. And i honestly think most temples in Bali will look similar to each other. This temple is good enough! And its worth coming for a visit if its along the way!

I love the fact that its quiet and very clean! Situated right in the middle of the lake makes it a unique and chill place to visit! (:

Verdict: Although this temple is quite far away from Seminyak, it is part of my package tour. While there isn't a lot to do here, the view is spectacular! I find it worthwhile to pay a visit!

The beauty of the old temple buildings

Dont you find it a beautiful sight to see the temple in the lake with the mountains in the background! HAHA.

I suggest you come here early and have the place almost to yourself. Kind of happy that the crowd are not here yet!

I heard the boats are for rent! But its not operating when we were there and we dont have the time anyway! photo P2221869_zpsa11548ff.jpg

The fog/low clouds can be intimidating. HAHA. But they drift away very fast!
